Sharpen Your Focus:

Join the Bass River Bullseye Pistol Team!

Have you ever wanted to truly master the fundamentals of handgun accuracy? Do you look at a target and want to see your shots consistently cutting the center X-ring? If you’re ready to take your shooting skills to the next level, the Bass River Rod & Gun Club Bullseye Pistol Team is looking for you.  Whether you are a seasoned target shooter or a relative newcomer eager to build rock-solid habits, our team offers the perfect blend of structured skill-building, friendly competition, and community.

What is Bullseye Pistol Shooting?

Bullseye is the ultimate discipline for perfecting hand-eye coordination, trigger control, and mental focus. Unlike fast-paced action shooting, Bullseye gives you the time to focus entirely on the mechanics of the perfect shot.

  • The Challenge: Shooters fire one-handed at stationary targets at precise distances.

  • The Format: Matches typically include a mix of Slow Fire (deliberate precision), Timed Fire, and Rapid Fire stages.

  • The Gear: Shooters use .22 caliber rimfire pistols—making it one of the most affordable, low-recoil, and accessible shooting disciplines available.

Why Join the Bass River Team?

1. Accelerated Skill Development

There is no quicker way to fix a flinch, master sight alignment, or perfect your trigger press than Bullseye. The discipline you learn here will instantly translate to every other shooting sport you try, from USPSA and IDPA to casual plinking.

2. A Welcoming, Mentoring Environment

Don't let the word "competition" intimidate you. Our team is comprised of experienced shooters and certified Range Safety Officers who are passionate about coaching. We don't care what your current skill level is; we care about helping you improve. We preserve a supportive atmosphere where safety always comes first, and advice is freely shared.

3. Thursday Night Lights: Practice & Cape League Matches

We keep a consistent, convenient schedule that easily fits into your week. Every summer Thursday evening, we have focused practice sessions and matches against one of the five other local clubs in the Cape Cod league. It’s a fantastic way to meet fellow enthusiasts from across the Cape and experience the camaraderie of a team sport.

3.5 Months to Go

November 3rd, 2026 is Election Day

We need YOU and YOUR neighbors and friends

Here are some interesting statistics:

  • Voter turnout is 55% in off-year elections vs 75% in a Presidential election year
  • 20% fewer people will be voting in November (off year)
  • 73 % of likely Massachusetts voters said they support the 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms (from Civil Rights Coalition)
  • Only 14.7% of Massachusetts households own firearms

You can juggle those numbers in lots of ways, but at the end of the day, repealing Chapter 135 will not be easy.

What can we do?

  • Talk to your friends and family that are part of the 73% that support 2nd Amendment Rights
  • Share some facts about how the law punishes legal gun owners

The law restricts ownership of target rifles and shotguns specifically designed for hunting and recreation to those over 21, and the law changes the definition of “Assault Style Firearms” in a way that drastically increases the number of guns that are banned, including recreational and target shooting guns.

Be ready to vote NO to repeal the bad law on November 3, 2026.

Respectfully,

Dan Paige Sr.
