Important Storm Update 2.25.26

Dear Club Members,

The Clubhouse, Indoor and Outdoor ranges remain CLOSED until further notice due to the storm.

Here is what we know –

      • We have cleared the road into the Clubhouse, as well as the parking lot.
      • There is NO POWER in the Clubhouse.
      • The road to the ranges is not cleared, and it is not known how many trees may have blown over on the lower road.

We may need volunteers to help cut the blowdowns, but again, it’s unknown exactly what the scope of this will be.

Notice on Hours of Operation

The hours posted on this page are for the convenience of our members. Bass River Rod & Gun Club may operate from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. Range Safety Officer shooting, police training, member training sessions, Wednesday Night Steel shoots, competitive events, and any other non-scheduled events may occur in non-posted hours. It is not unusual to hear gunfire during any daylight hour.

Bass River Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1936 by a group of like-minded men and women to promote good sportsmanship and good fellowship. Founded as a not-for-profit organization, the club was supported and maintained through the volunteer efforts and good will of the members. We continue in those very same traditions today.

The Ranges

The Club sports an indoor pistol range (open 24/7), three outdoor pistol ranges, a 100 yard and 50 yard outdoor rifle range, a shotgun range that features Skeet, Sporting Clays, and Trap - and a 3D, multi-station, archery course.

The Reservation

The Club consists of approximately 250 acres of wildlife conservation land, upland, meadow, salt marsh, and a fresh water pond. Wildlife such as deer, turkey, fox, otters, swans, geese, ducks, osprey, great blue heron, king fishers, as well as several migratory species, are native to the property. For the nature enthusiast, the Club has several walking trails for bird watching - and, the fragrance of Wisteria Hill is not to be missed in the spring.

Monday - Friday 12-4
Saturday - Sunday 10-4

Weather Permitting

** The first and third Sunday of the month are match days. The range closes at 3PM the Saturday BEFORE the Sunday match. The range is closed to shooting on match days until the match is finished and cleaned up - - around 2PM.

Saturday 10-1

Sunday 10-1

Thursday 10-1

Five Stand:

Saturday 9-1

Sunday 10-1

Trap:

Sunday 1-3

Wednesday 10-1

Friday 10-1

24 Hours - 7 Days

Except during regularly scheduled club events.
